today doesnt feel real. living in new york just makes today even weirder. I was in the second grade when it happened and i remember it as if it were yesterday. The principal and school therapist came into our classroom and turned on the tv and showed us what was going on. All you saw was black smoke. Then all of a sudden you saw the plane hit the second tower. All the other kids got to go home early but they never called my mom or dad so I stayed til 3 when my grandpa picked me up. My mom works at a hospital so she was mandated to stay because of the attacks and my dad works as an EMT so he was mandated to stay as well. I remember that night when they came home all i asked was, "mommy why was that man so bad?"
